Background This course is for those who want to learn to perform in front of the camera and to develop a Film and Television presence. The course also prepares students for auditions in the Film, TV, and Commercial industries. Acting for the camera, vocal technique for film and basic communication skills are covered during the 12 week course.
Lecturer Lynita Crofford has a BA Drama degree and is a well-known presenter and actress. She has worked for the SABC and M-Net, presenting a variety of TV programs ranging from travel and magazine programs to current affairs and regional news. Lynita was the presenter of Cape at Six on SABC 2 and was also a newsreader on Good Hope FM for eleven years. As an actress Lynita has appeared in numerous stage and TV productions such as Madam and Eve, Egoli, The Poseidon Adventure, Orion, The Triangle, and most recently played the part of Glenn Johnson in Isidingo. Lynita currently works as a voice artist for radio and TV commercials, and has appeared in a number of local and international television commercials.
