The workshops were well attended by a wonderful variety of students. Younger and older, complete new comers and those with more experience all brought together by their passion to understand more and make animations and games.

The 5 day workshops were a delightful mix of special introductory lectures and practical workshops. The lectures focused on 2D and 3D animation, touching on game development, production and discussions on the future of animation and games industry in South Africa.

The practical workshop used traditional real-world media as the attendees were to create and animate their very own characters using paper, scissors and a whole lot of imagination. The complete workshop was designed to give hungry minds a deeper understanding of the broad spectrum of animation as relevant in the current, local as well as international entertainment industry.
