 Janus du Plessis
 COURSE: Acting for Camera
 SKILL: Lecturer

Janus du Plessis works professionally as an actor, presenter, character voice and voiceover artist, scriptwriter and director. He holds a BTech Degree (Drama) from the Tshwane University of Technology. During his studies he was Assistant Theatre Manager for the Rostrum Theatre at the university and taught Production to first year Drama students.

Janus has performed professionally in a variety of Theatre and Television shows which include: Eskorts (KKNK) 2004, Begeertes (Kyk-Net) 2006, White Powder (State Theatre) 2006, Interchange (Grahamstown Arts Festival) 2006, Sasol Corporate Videos 2006, Angel Song (MNet) 2007, Ester & Hester Bester (Kyknet) 2007, and Erfsondes (SABC) 2007, among others. He appeared in television commercials for MTV and Carfax, and has done voiceovers for a variety of private companies as well as being involved as a voice talent in various animation movies and series.

 Chris Hall
 COURSE: Camerawork & Lighting
 SKILL: Lecturer
Chris has worked in retail, IT and marketing. After working for SAB’s retail brands, Chris followed a career in Internet and software development. After working at IBM for several years on many prestigious software development projects, Chris went back to study for his Masters in Drama and Film in 2004. He completed his Masters in 2006. He teaches editing, camerawork & lighting, and film appreciation. He is an excellent cameraperson and editor. He is a well-rounded jack of all trades and is a writer, director, camera operator and editor. He is a strong-minded and motivated leader who inspires by example. He teaches full time students and also presents short film courses at night. He is currently studying for his MBA at Wits and is a great asset as a teacher and manager.
 Varin York
 COURSE: Graphic Design
 SKILL: Lecturer
Varin York has been involved in the field of graphic design both academically and in industry for over five years. He is considered a specialist in print design and currently studying for his Masters Degree in Graphic Design. His other qualifications include a BA degree in Graphic Design and Advertising, as well as an Honors Degree in Corporate Communication.  His current freelance work includes art direction for music videos and title sequences, as well as generic print campaigns and advertising.
 Hercules Mare'
 COURSE: Maya 3D: Animation Basics
 SKILL: Lecturer

Hercules Maré began his foray into Animation whilst studying Industrial Design using early CAD 3D software. Due to the general lack of available tuition in 3D animation in South Africa he left for Belgium where he furthered his 3D Animation studies and became a certified Maya instructor. Upon returning to South Africa he accepted an offer to teach a number of subjects specialising in 3D Animation and Maya training. Since then he was instrumental in creating the first accredited 3D animation course as well as consulting on course development for a number of Private educational institutions. He has taught animation for eight years and he is currently involved in the production of various short films, music videos, etc., as animator, technical consultant, and various other roles. He is currently developing training videos and course literature for Autodesk - the creators of Maya - for online training, and is the technical director of CityVarsity Jo’burg and head of the Animation Department. He likes coffee, the Internet, and almost anything with buttons.
