Hercules started his foray into Animation whist studying Industrial Design using early CAD 3D software. Due to the general lack of available tuition in 3D animation in South Africa he left for Belgium where he furthered his 3D Animation studies and became a certified Maya instructor.

Upon returning to South Africa he accepted an offer to teach a number of subjects specialising in 3D Animation and Maya training. Since then he was instrumental in creating the first accredited 3D animation course as well as consulting on course development for a number of Private education concerns. With eight years of teaching animation he is currently also involved in the production of various short films, music videos and etc. as animator, technical consultant and various other roles. Currently he is developing training videos and course literature for Autodesk the creators of Maya for online training as well as the role of technical director of CityVarsity Jo’burg and head of the Animation Department. He also likes coffee and the internet and almost anything with buttons.
