MONSTERS + MAKE-UP = MAYHEM
Duration 2 year Diploma. Admission requirement A Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate or equivalent and a successful written evaluation with your application accompanied by a portfolio of artwork. Art as a subject is advantageous but not compulsory.
This Diploma course follows on from the Motion Picyure Make-up Certificate to teach the practical applications and theory of art in more detail and ensure that the graduate is fully equipped for a variety of working situations. For graduates of this course every day is different to the last and it is so important to be able to adapt.

• Sculpting and casting
• Props fabrication
• Painting
• Special effects make-up
• Continuity in make-up for film & TV
• Three-dimensional make-up: preparation & application of
prosthetic pieces
• Fiberglass resins & silicones
In addition, students are placed in external professional productions where possible and where industry permits throughout the year.
Graduates have careers in many fields of the motion picture and entertainment industries: feature films, television, advertising, theatre, fashion, corporate videos, stills photography, among others.
