This programme is designed to equip you with the technical knowledge and the confidence to deal with all aspects of sound engineering anywhere in the world. Graduates of the programme are qualified to work in motion pictures, television, radio, live sound, location sound, among others, as well as for any of the many sound studios and post-production facilities that require sound engineers.
In the first year there is a strong theoretical component that is required to refine technical abilities in order to tackle the more advanced projects in the second year.

Theory and History of Audio • History of sound recording • Audio theory • Acoustics • Microphone designs
MIDI and Audio Composition • Sequencing and editing • MIDI and audio mixing - Cubase 4 & Reason • Audio effects and plug-ins • Basic song production and management
Music • Basic music knowledge and theory • Musical instruments and timbre • Concise history of popular music from 1900 to the present day
The second year continues with some of these subjects with more intensity and additional practical application and with the addition of modules in • Live sound • Band recording • Remixing • Commercial music production • Music Law • Business
