Make-up artists work with all kinds of performers, models and celebrities in immensely varied environments. These artists play a pivotal role in presenting a specific reality to the audience. You will be introduced to various make-up forms including beauty, corrective, avant-garde, character, period and special effects. You will also practice basic styling, props fabrication, drawing, art theory and film appreciation. The course is highly collaborative (our students work with most departments) resulting in products and projects that are both challenging and rewarding.

The Certificate in Motion Picture Make-up is the entry requirement for the two-year Diploma in Motion Picture Production Design. However, the one-year exit option affords students the opportunity to obtain an industryrecognised qualification.
