Campus:  Cape Town

Michelle holds a BA in Communication, Honours in Clinical Psychology and a Masters in Adult Education from UNISA. Her current research focuses on the impact of outcomes-based assessment practices on adult education in South Africa.
Michelle currently sits on the Academic Board of DCC, a distance education arm of the Educor group, which she joined in 2002. Michelle became CityVarsity’s National General Manager in 2010.

Anita has a varied academic background with a Bachelor of Architectural Studies from UCT and a Bachelor of Arts (Motion Picture Medium) from AFDA. She also completed courses in Television Journalism, Documentary Writing, Basic Editing and Writing for Children. She started her career in the film industry producing and directing magazine inserts. She then joined the commercial service industry as Head of Research at Maximum Films. After a study break and some work in Theatre Production, Anita resumed her career as a Line Producer at Atomik Pictures, producing commercials for European and American clients. She joined the Film Department at CV as a lecturer and then later as Academic Manager. Her role at CV is to ensure the smooth running of the departments, the maintenance of the academic integrity of the programmes and the Higher Education status of the institution. Through research and interaction with industry she also ensures that course content remains relevant and forward thinking. Anita is on the Board of the Cape Film Commission.

She loves campus life and takes a personal interest in the students entrusted to the institution. She likes nothing better than being totally surprised and amazed by their talent and work. She is one proud mamma.

Shingi joined CityVarsity in June 2009 bringing over 16 years’ experience in finance management, control and general business administration. She has a Bachelor of Business Studies from the University of Zimbabwe and a MBA from Edith Cowan University, Perth, Australia. Shingi finds that as a school of media and creative arts, CityVarsity provides a truly dynamic and vibrant environment that is stimulating to work in.

Away from the humdrum of numbers, Shingi likes to take advantage of the fabulous Cape Town scenery by taking occasional walks on the beach and mountain trails.

Sean has been with the parent company for many years, as lecturer, sales consultant, schools marketer and finally joined CityVarsity mid 2010 to assume the role of Sales & Marketing Manager for the Newtown and Cape Town campuses. He is an eclectic hoarder of things, with an avid interest in things that are different to the mainstream. Loves sport and has become, with age a consummate couch-potato of all South African sport teams. Maybe this comes from the conviction that the runt of the litter can also rise to the top! Ever the optimist…

A technician by trade, Sharief arrived at CityVarsity in 2008 to manage the Gearhouse. In 2010 he was appointed to his current post, which he finds challenging, but exciting at the same time.
